BLACK MINISTERS GROUP: "MARGARET SANGER WAS A RACIST AND IT IS TIME FOR AMERICANS TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT HER AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD"

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA- A national group of predominantly black ministers - MINISTERS TAKING A STAND ("MTS") - has denounced Planned Parenthood as a racist organization. Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood founder, has a history that includes support for eugenics as well as racist motivations to limit the number of births of black babies. Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, supported eugenics and was a devout racist who sought to limit the number of black births. Bishop E.W. Jackson, National President of the group, said, "If Planned Parenthood is trafficking in baby body parts, you can be sure that many of the babies they are ripping apart and selling on the auction block are black. Yet the liberal media fails to expose this truth. If black lives truly matter, the lives of unborn black children matter."

A portrait of Margaret Sanger hangs in the National Portrait Gallery's "The Struggle for Justice Exhibit." Jackson said, "If the left wants to take down the statues and monuments of Confederate leaders because of their alleged racism 150 years ago, then Margaret Sanger's portrait should not be hanging anywhere in honor of her. Her legacy is killing black babies today, not a century and half ago."

In a letter in 1939 Sanger wrote, "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."

These ministers ("MTS") say, "We did not get the memo. Count us among the rebellious ministers who will not be used as pawns for Planned Parenthood's evil agenda." They point out that Sanger spoke for and supported the racial agenda of the KKK. She apparently thought that her remarks were well received by these rabid racists. She said, "I believed I had accomplished my purpose." She also created the infamous Negro Project, the purpose of which was to limit if not eliminate black births. She saw black Americans as a burden society had to carry. "Even now," says Bishop Jackson, "Planned Parenthood locates roughly 70% of their clinics in predominately black communities. They are fulfilling what their founder had in mind."

MTS is calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood, and will begin a campaign to expose the racist origins of Planned Parenthood to more Americans. "As ministers of the gospel who serve predominantly black congregations," said Mr. Jackson, "we are not going to be silent when an organization which has now been exposed for the evil it does, is also deliberately targeting the black community. We are going to turn a national spotlight on Senators and Congressmen who are unwilling to defund PP. We will make sure that black voters know who is supporting the genocide against innocent babies."
