ICYMI: Eli Savit Attempts to Reinvent Himself

LANSING, MI – In case you missed it, Michigan Democrats’ radical candidate for Attorney General is attempting to reinvent himself, according to a report out today from Bridge Michigan.

Now that he must answer for his record as the George Soros-backed Washtenaw County prosecutor where he ended cash bail and decriminalized prostitution and psychedelic mushrooms, Savit knows his far-left record is too extreme to be Michigan’s top law enforcement official.

Savit also attempted to deflect blame for the shooting of a woman during a carjacking in Oakland County. The suspect in the case was on probation, thanks to Savit, for hog-tying, duct taping and suffocating a woman with a plastic bag.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard seemingly blasted Savit while condemning that this criminal was back on the streets, saying prosecutors have to “do their damn job.”

Eli Savit would be dangerous for Michigan. When it comes to crime, he has repeatedly sided with criminals over victims as Washtenaw County prosecutor and will do the same as Attorney General no matter how hard he tries to convince voters otherwise.

Fortunately for Michiganders, they have a better choice for Attorney General who stands by his record. Eaton County prosecutor and Republican-nominee for Attorney General, Doug Lloyd, has spent his career holding criminals accountable and delivering justice for victims and his community. His reputation as a tough, but fair, prosecutor has led to convictions for heinous crimes such as murder, rape, and large-scale drug trafficking.

If you are covering Eli Savit’s electoral makeover, please consider the following from Doug Lloyd:

“Michiganders can’t be fooled. Eli Savit will bring the same policies and philosophy he implemented in Washtenaw County to the Attorney General’s office, leaving Michiganders less safe while criminals roam free. I proudly stand by my record of being tough on crime and protecting victims and unlike my opponent, I don’t need to reimagine myself to win this election.”
