VIDEO CHAT SERIES SHEDS LIGHT ON MENTAL HEALTH TOPICS FOR PARENTS
NEW ORLEANS, APRIL 1, 2020
-- Louisiana Children's Museum has always been on a mission to strengthen families. When we talk about health and well-being, LCM recognizes individual and collective mental health as a top priority. One new and innovative way we continue to connect with families and support them through this period of quarantine is with our new video chat series,
In Dialogue
.
In Dialogue
is a video call series that demystifies mental health topics for caregivers and their children. It is a joint effort from Louisiana Children's Museum and Tulane Institute of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health. This series is designed for adults, as the topics are meant to support a caregiver's connection to their child.
"Mental health is a pressing topic right now," says LCM CEO Julia Bland. "We feel compelled to continue delivering our mission through this time, and
In Dialogue
really addresses the needs of the families of New Orleans that we feel so connected to. Partnering with Tulane Institute of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health is the perfect way to support parents, grandparents, and caregivers."
Upcoming topics include talking to your child about COVID-19, positive parenting strategies, tips to support learning at home, and more.
