Long Beach, CA  Today, Long Beach Community College Board Trustee (LBCCD) Dr. Virginia Baxter announced her endorsement of City Councilwoman Suzie Price for Long Beach City Mayor.

The endorsement comes on the heels of Price raising $170,000 in two weeks and receiving endorsements from Long Beach Unified School District Board Member Doug Otto, Long Beach Councilmembers Daryl Supernaw and Stacy Mungo, Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell, among others

“I am pleased to endorse Councilwoman Suzie Price to be our Long Beach Mayor,” says Baxter. “In every role she has held, Suzie has embodied the best qualities of a leader. Like me, Suzie is very involved in local philanthropic projects, and works tirelessly to advance community organizations in their efforts to assist residents throughout the city. I am excited to see all of the incredible work she will accomplish as Mayor of Long Beach.”

Dr. Virginia “Ginny” L. Baxter was elected to the LBCCD District 5 Trustees position in April of 2014, representing the east side of Long Beach and the south side of Lakewood. “I am proud to have Dr. Baxter’s endorsement for my mayoral campaign,” says Price. “Dr. Baxter is a remarkable person who has committed her life to improving our city through compassion and care. For Dr. Baxter, it has always been about serving our community – and nothing more. She is an inspiration to all of us who care about our educational institutions and the future of our great city.”
