Hi. I’m Wendy Sartory Link, your Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections. On this week’s Elections Report, we want to remind voters that we have two upcoming Special Elections scheduled for January 11, 2022 in parts of Palm Beach County. There will be a Special General Election for U.S. House of Representatives, District 20, and a Special Democratic Primary Election for Florida House of Representatives, District 88. All voters registered to vote on or before December 13, 2021, in District 20, regardless of party affiliation, will be eligible to vote in the District 20 Special General Election. In the Special Democratic Primary Election for District 88, only Democratic voters registered on or before December 13, 2021, in District 88 will be eligible to vote. Only one Republican candidate qualified, therefore a Republican Primary is not necessary. Republican, NPA and other voters that are registered to vote in District 88 are not eligible to vote in the Special Primary Election, because Florida is a Closed Primary State. Make sure your voter registration information is up to date and, if you are not sure whether you live within Congressional District 20 or Florida House District 88, please visit the “My Status” page of our website: votepalmbeach.gov. You can also look at your voter registration card to see what districts you are in. Remember, in Palm Beach County, there are 3 safe, easy, and secure ways to cast your ballot: Vote-by-Mail, during Early Voting, or on Election Day. Vote-by-Mail ballots for these two Special Elections were recently mailed to all voters who have already requested a mail ballot. If you would like to request a ballot, you may visit our website or call our office at (561) 656-6208. Please know that the deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot to be mailed to you is 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Our Main Elections Office will be open that Saturday to serve you. A mail ballot may also be picked up in person at one of our four offices until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022. Postage on mail ballots is pre-paid, or you can return a ballot in person to our office during business hours, to any early voting location during early voting hours, or a secure drop box. Visit VotePalmBeach.gov for hours and locations. Early Voting will be available at seven different locations Saturday, January 1, through Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can find a secure Vote-by-Mail ballot drop box at each Early Voting location during Early Voting hours. On Election Day, January 11, 2022, polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and you must vote at your assigned polling place. Your polling place can be found on your Voter Registration Information Card, on the "Find My Precinct" page on our website, and on the "My Status" page on our website.
