His commitment to serving our veterans was further honored during his second term in office when West Point Graduate, MI Senator John Pappageorge handed over the honor of presiding over the annual Michigan Senate Memorial Service to Senator Colbeck. The annual Michigan Senate Memorial Services honor Gold Star families who have paid the ultimate price to secure our freedom.
Prior to entering public service, Mr. Colbeck owned and operated the management consulting company, Perspective Shifts, LLC. Upon graduating from the University of Michigan with Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in aerospace engineering, he started his career working as a senior design engineer on the International Space Station with Boeing. He went on to work as a systems engineering contractor with the Department of Defense on advanced training simulation systems before accepting a position with AAR Cargo Systems in Livonia where he formed and managed the Program Management Department. From there, he served as the Executive Director of the IT Business Unit for the Ann Arbor consulting firm Pcubed prior to starting his own successful firm.
