Suspicious Package Found at 40 Days for Life-Dallas Prayer Vigil Site

Dallas, TX - Oct. 20, 2017 For the second time in two weeks, the Catholic Pro-Life Committee's 40 Days for Life-Dallas peaceful prayer vigil site outside of Southwestern abortion facility at 8616 Greenville Ave, appears to have been targeted.

Early this morning, a suspicious package was discovered at the site. This event comes on the heels of our prayer volunteers witnessing a man vandalizing the site including spilling red paint on the sidewalk, dumping out our vigil materials, and leaving a beheaded doll with the words "Pro- Choice" written on it. Police were called in response to both incidences.

CPLC reported the package left this morning to Dallas police and the Dallas Bomb Squad has been called in. Buildings in the complex have been evacuated.

"Our prime concern is for the safety of everyone in the area," said Catholic Pro-Life Committee Executive Director, Becky Visosky. "We are praying for a quick and peaceful resolution."
