FORKLIFT SAFETY

In our industry, there are thousands of forklifts in use, every day. However, we encounter situations where these forklifts are not being used correctly.

Forklifts are engineered and designed for lifting purposes and not for towing equipment or pushing snow. Forklift tines, if drilled, are not safe for lifting and should be removed from service.

MSA offers free online theory based training for the safe operation of forklifts through our Introduction to Power Mobile Equipment course:

MSA Online Courses

MSA also offers free downloadable safe work practices for forklifts:

Safe Work Practices & Procedures

For more information please refer to the attached provincial guidelines for Safe Operation of Forklifts.
