New Enrollment Record!

Thanks to the efforts of the national clinical research teams supporting enrollment to NRG-CC005, the FORTE team is excited to report that the trial set a new record of over 170 participants in April 2026.

As of May 1, we have enrolled 4465 participants to this important cancer prevention trial. We’re racing to 4750 participants by the summer, 50% of total enrollment!

FORTE Site Call – March 12, 2026 – Protocol Compliance

FORTE Protocol Chair, Dr. Robert Schoen, presented an update on protocol compliance at the last FORTE Site Call. Watch the recording on the FORTE | Research Professionals playlist.

Mobile Phlebotomy

FORTE offers all activated sites the opportunity to implement remote blood draws with participants enrolled in NRG-CC005. NRG Oncology is working with TravaLab, an online portal that offers mobile phlebotomy services nationwide, to conduct blood draws for FORTE. This process will complement remote consent processes at all participating sites to increase overall accrual to NRG-CC005.

No additional contracting or payment is required for sites to use this service, but you must opt-in for the service by notifying NRG Oncology. Opting in does not obligate you to use the service. Review the revised NRG-CC005 funding sheet on CTSU for payment information with TravaLab.

The FORTE team has created the FORTE TravaLab Manual - Mobile Phlebotomy to guide sites on implementing mobile phlebotomy. Review this document to determine if your site may partner with TravaLab to offer this service to your participants.

To get started with TravaLab, fill out the TravaLab Registration Form on CTSU and submit it to forte@nrgoncology.org.
