Dear Friends,
In this season of gratitude, we’re here to express our sincere thanks for this organization and how we work together to support and show appreciation for the entire staff of St. Philip's School and Community Center. Most recently, it was an all-hands-on-deck effort to ensure the success of our second annual Bingo, BBQ & The Blues fundraiser. Keep reading to see pictures and hear more about this fun night. Thank you to all the new and old Friends who attended, volunteered, and supported the evening in so many ways.
We are proud of the hard work and capital raised to support our mission, and we can't wait until next year!
On that note, it’s hard to believe it’s almost 2023. As we get ready to usher in FOSP's fourth year, please consider renewing your membership today and inviting your friends.
We are grateful for each and every Friend!
Warmly,
Tina Stansbury
President Friends of St. Philip’s

Bingo, BBQ & the Blues Spells Success Again |
We did it again! Our second annual Bingo, BBQ & The Blues event on October 26 was another great night of fellowship, fabulous Bingo and raffle prizes, and loads of giving hearts.
More than 400 people gathered inside the Snyder Gym on campus to enjoy music and entertainment by DJ LC, Eddie Deen's barbecue, and Kingsville Canadian Beer donated and underwritten by Marty Turco's Kingsville Brewing Co.
At last count, the event raised more than $180,000 to support FOSP's mission as an auxiliary of St. Philip's. Many thanks to honorary chair Mayor Eric Johnson and host Chris Arnold for their unwavering support, along with guest callers Marty Turco, Lucy Wrubel, and Dallas rapper Big Tuck.
We also owe our sincere appreciation—and then some—to event chairs Paula Mitchell and Cheryl Nelson for their tireless efforts and the entire Bingo committee. W-E-L-L D-O-N-E!

Show your thanks when you lend a hand or donate to support the Annual Community Thanksgiving Feast on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. This longstanding tradition, started in the early ‘80s with faculty and staff cooking dishes at home and serving a few immediate neighbors, has now grown to serve hundreds annually.
We hope you will consider signing up to volunteer or donate items, such as utensils, plates, tea, and desserts. Donations can be delivered to the front desk.
Help us be a blessing to our neighbors as we celebrate the gift of life and abundance. There is so much to be thankful for at St. Philip’s!
Contact our Community Advancement team at community@stphilips.com for more information.

Every year, St. Philip’s School & Community Center offers Christmas Store participants a chance to make holiday gift selections from new items that are graciously donated. The assistance provides an opportunity to gift their children with toys, games, stuffed animals and coats that they would otherwise forfeit for basic necessities.
The Store is staffed by generous volunteers. We invite you to be part of this wonderful holiday tradition.
Help spread the joy of Christmas by donating an item(s) from the wish list or volunteering for this year's Christmas Store on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

The ISAS Accreditation Visit is set for March 2023. The visit is essential to the ISAS accreditation process every 10 years to validate the ongoing qualifications of its member schools. There are multiple ways FOSP plans to support St. Philip’s as it embarks on its fourth accreditation. Among them: airport pickup of ISAS team members, volunteers for the campus reception on March 26, and meals and hotel room donations. Please contact us if you would like to help with transportation or have donation ideas for restaurant meals or a nearby hotel willing to provide multiple rooms. Please email with any information that could help. | |
