New Volunteer Beach Ambassador (VBA) Manager Peter Mohylsky is shown here with Laurie Reichenbach, Founder of the VBA Program under FOSWST.


Peter is a retired USAF pilot and dedicated VBA. We look forward to Peter's leadership in 2023.

$500 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

Sophia Mijatovic, a South Walton High School Senior, was awarded a $500 scholarship for her painting. The painting is a mural on the facility at Helen McCall Park in Santa Rose Beach. Sophia is shown here holding her original artwork. Shown in the photo, left to right are Lt. Mark Wendel (Walton County Sheriff's Department), Sophia, Etoi Moore (Treasurer of the FOSWST), and Rhonda McEnany (SW County High School Art Teacher). Congratulations to Sophia, and to all students who entered the contest.

VBAs OF THE MONTH

Matt and Pam Tedesco


Twenty-year residents of SRB, Matt and Pam joined the VBA program five years ago. They love interacting with beach guests and helping with the fifth grade education program. Pam serves as Secretary of FOSWST. Thank you, Matt and Pam, for your outstanding VBA service.
