This Spring, the Foundation awarded a $10K grant to Hearts & Homes for Veterans. This charity provides assistance for homeless veterans to obtain housing and other life necessities that include emergency services such as temporary housing, rent assistance, utilities, food and transportation needs.

"Hearts and Homes for Veterans is moving to the next level of service for our veterans in need. With the very generous support of the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation, we have completed many of our projects that will allow us to better serve our veterans. We now have a group meeting room used by our veterans and outside veteran groups such as DAV. The restroom, shower and laundry facilities are now operational and being used by our Veterans. Our commercial kitchen is nearing completion and should be operational by year end. We could not have done all this work without the generous support from the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation."
