Four PLAYERS celebrateD their first GTA AM Tour VictorYat THE GOLF LAB OPEN AT Cedar Brae Golf & Country Club

Scarborough, ON (August 10, 2015) This past Monday, the 16^th event of the GTA Am Tour season was played. The Golf Lab Open was hosted at the historic Cedar Brae Golf & Country Club . A field of 87 competitors survived the scenic and challenging Cedar Brae G&CC, a par 71, 6,521 yard layout. The course winds lazily through the beautiful Rouge Valley, with picturesque fairways, healthy and fast greens and natural beauty. Cedar Brae is an outstanding, private golf facility and is no stranger to hosting competitive events and major golf Tour Tournaments, including the LPGA, Canadian Tours, Provincial Championships and GAO qualifiers.

In the Championship Flight, Doug McNeil (Aurora, ON), coming off a second place finish, in his last event, a couple weeks ago, at the Honsberger Physio Challenge, would celebrate this week, with his first win

of the 2015 season. Doug played Cedar Brae, with a steady hand, to card a three over par 74, including three birdies, nine pars and six bogies. Alone, in second, playing in his first Tour event was Craig Conroy (Bowmanville, ON). Craig struggled to get things going on the front nine, but came alive on the back to finish his day with a round of 75. Finishing, in third, was John Harrington (Ajax, ON) with a score of 75, to capture his six top-three finish of the season. In the Championship Flight's season-long Myrtle Beach Order of Merit . Michael Alderman continues to sit in top spot with 635.0 points. Ryan Taylor remains in second, with 569.2 points and, jumping into third, with his strong finish this week, John Harrington has 532.5 points.

In the A-Flight, Paul Corner (Toronto, ON), made an outstanding return to the Tour this week, playing in his first event of the 2015 season. Paul would play Cedar Brae with ease, winning this week's tournament, The Golf Lab

Open, with a round of 81. Paul would not find any of the trouble that permeates Cedar Brae, finishing his day with two birdies, five pars, ten bogies and a double to capture his first win on Tour. Taking home second place prizing, for the second time in five days, was Robin Hutchins (Toronto, ON). Robin would finish his day having carded a round of 83. Alone, in third, Jeff Gatcke (Lansdowne, ON), playing in just his second event of the season, scored a round of 84. The A Flight's Myrtle Beach Order of Merit sees Mike Hubbs remain in top spot, with a commanding lead of 734.2 points. In second, Danny MacDonald has 442.5 points and, in third spot, Matt Ward has 400.7 points.

In the B-Flight, Don Laking (Toronto, ON), would capture his first win of his rookie Tour season. It was, however, his second top three finish in his past three events. Don had a fantastic day, scoring an 81, but it was not without

its troubles. Don would shine on the front nine, but the back nine would present its challenges. Don would persevere and finish strong with three straight pars. To determine second and third places, card matching was required, as two players would enter the clubhouse with matching rounds of 85: Eisen Valdez (Stouffville, ON) and Rick Humphreys (Kitchener, ON). The result of matching the back nine scores would see Eisen capture second place, while Rick would take third. In the B-Flight's Myrtle Beach Order of Merit , Bob Chapman remains in top spot, with 572.3 points over Derek Peters, who has 493.8. Rounding out the top three, Frank O'Brien has 390.4 points.

The torrential rain would play a pivotal role in the outcome of the C Flight. Most of the B Flight and some of the C Flight would finish their rounds with nominal rain. However, the back end of the C Flight survived some

significant rain and should be commended for their perseverance...!! Mark Matusiak (Toronto, ON) would, once again, find the game that made him successful on Tour last season. Mark, would set himself up for success having shot a great front nine, despite struggling on the back. He finished his day with a 91 that would best the field by three. Alone, in second, Franco Aceto (Woodbridge, ON) would score his second top three finish of the season, scoring a round of 94. Placing third, Tour rookie, Ken Graham (Toronto, ON), would finish his day with a 95. The C-Flight's Myrtle Beach Order of Merit continues to see Robert Perri holding down top spot, with 680.0 points. Sitting in second, Jay White has 635.0 points and, holding on to third, Mark Matusiak has 531.3 points.

Another one of the many ways to win on Tour is by Net score. Net score prizing is calculated across all players who did not place in the top three gross-scoring positions in their respective Flights. The top two net winners, at each event, will receive one dozen TaylorMade golf balls and one case (24) of Mill Street beer. This week's winners were Paul Simoes, and Mark Gibson, both with a net 73. In addition to the season-long Gross Score, Myrtle Beach Order of Merit, players will compete for a parallel, season-long Net Score Order of Merit . After the sixteenth event, Mike Hubbs of the A-Flight holds onto first place with 820.5 points and in second Robert Perri of the C-Flight has 805.5. For complete standings click on the link.

The winner of the closest-to-the-pin competition was Craig Conroy, winning a dozen TaylorMade golf balls. The winner of the Mazda Hole in One, closest to the pin contest, where all players have a chance to win a $2,500 sponsor product shopping spree, was Jeremey Choi. Along with these prizes, TaylorMade, Adams Golf and Mill Street Brewery products are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each of the four Flights. The Tour also awards a draw prize at each event for a $50 certificate redeemable at the Mill Street Brew Pub. This event's winner of the Mill Street Brewery Certificate was Keith Peltier.
