A Message from the President
Happy August,

Your Austin FPA board is trying to make 2020 feel as normal as possible. We continue to schedule webinars for the remainder of the year so you can maintain your CE credits. In October, we have scheduled a virtual ethics meeting. Blake Rhodes has been hard at work, contacting our sponsors to schedule our virtual events.

Margaret Casey will be our chapter president next year, and David Hampton will lead us in 2022.

Ross Patterson is actively pursuing pro-bono engagements. Ross, Blake, and I were on a call last week discussing new possibilities for our chapter.

Ann Connolly has done an excellent job handling our chapter’s finances during this pandemic while Donny Beattie continues to grow our membership.

Daphne Jordan, Margaret Casey, and I are exploring mentoring opportunities with local colleges. I hope to have details for you by the end of the year.

Sarah Frankenfeld has done a fantastic job of keeping our chapter moving forward in a virtual world. She has been hard at work dealing with members, sponsors, and our national partners.

During these unique and challenging times, make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Though we’re in the dog days of summer, try to get outside and enjoy our city’s beautiful lakes, rivers, and trails.

A Message from Gold Partner The Fleming & Conway Agency
During these ever-changing times, the way we work has become more flexible, business transactions are handled virtually, business models are adjusting, and our focus may be on things other than insurance protection. Many businesses have shifted to a virtual, at-home office or storefront. These changes can be temporary or permanent. And, many businesses may think they are covered by their homeowners and/or business owner policy. Working from home could also be putting your company’s data at greater risk. We are here to help you navigate the transition from office to virtual while protecting the best interest of you and your clients. Call us today at 512-345-0005
