Excellent speakers and sponsors brought in more than 7,000 attendees to the Pennsylvania Conference Center for the 2015 Pennsylvania Conference for Women, and, FPA - Philly was there to meet them! We shared workbooks and guides from the FPA, and, most importantly, information on how attendees could find YOU through the FPA Planner Search (plannersearch.org).

Farewell Message From Our Chapter President

REFLECTING & LOOKING FORWARD

It is hard to believe that my year as Chapter President is coming to a close. It has been an honor and privilege to serve in this role.  I have been inspired by the time and energy of the volunteer board and committee members. It speaks volumes about their commitment to our profession and FPA.

Through our combined efforts, a lot has been accomplished in 2015.  To name a few of our recent successes: Nexgen education series, FPA career day at St. Joe's, regional happy hours, new regional study groups,  a social media training session, a social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, revamped sponsorship packages, participation in the FPA Advocacy Day in Washington DC, excellent speakers, and a complete re-organization of the chapter's finances.

I offer my sincere appreciation to the 2015 board members: Paula Nangle, Vince Barbera, Bill Love, Erik Evans, Nick Maningas, Rachel Moran, Steve Krzywicki, Sameer Somal, Pete Gutekunst, Chris Bertram, Ben Cummings, Larry Helmick, Sanjay Pawar, Kevin Coughlin, and Kraig Null. I want to give a special thank you to our chapter executive and the best meatball maker in the area, Chris Stewart. Thank you for your dedication to the profession and to our chapter.

In 2015, we hope each of you were able to attend a quarterly meeting, the spring symposium, the fall retreat or one of the many study groups or happy hour networking events. Each of the many events held presented a great opportunity for our members to network, obtain CE credits, learn about the value our sponsors offer and provide opportunity for you to engage with the Chapter. The best way to engage with the Chapter is to join one of our many committees. Committees and committee volunteers are very important to the long-term health and viability of our organization and a great place to develop skills and connections that will further your career.

We encourage each of our valued members to bring a guest to one of our upcoming events. Please contact membership directly at the number or email below to inquire on a complimentary guest pass.

As we wrap up the year in programs, thanks for your attendance, feedback and ideas for speakers. This year kicked off strong with Mitch Anthony and kept going with Steve Forbes at the Spring Symposium and Bob Veres at our Fall Retreat.

Rich Orlando will launch our 2016 program year this January with an insightful presentation and research into seeking legacy in our clients' lives and in our practices. Dr. Orlando is the author of Legacy, The Hidden Keys to Optimizing Your Family Wealth Decisions and the Principal at Legacy Capitals, the firm he founded, where he's served Barron's Top 100 Advisors and global business leaders and
entrepreneurs.  And Sean Clark from Clark Capital Management will kick off the morning with his Annual Economic Outlook for 2016.
