Listen up, Parents (of ALL ages)!

The Book of Belonging is the story Bible we gave to our 2nd graders this year AND it's our Sunday School curriculum for 2-5 graders. I recently listened to a podcase by Mariko Clark, the woman who paraphrased the story Bible and it is FABULOUS!

If you'd like to hear more about how our young children engage with God's word and her philosophy in creating this WONDERFUL book,

CLICK THIS LINK.

Meri Kate HIGHLY recommends setting aside the time to listen (it's less than an hour - great listening for a walk!).

Remember - children in PreK 4 - 1st grade must be picked up BY A PARENT from the Godly Play Room.

Children in 2-5 grades may leave on their own to meet their parents - please make sure to designate a meeting spot!

May you hear God's still, small voice over the thundering noise of those clamoring for our attention in today's world. Henri Nouwen's Bread for the Journey offers good, grounding thoughts for navigating the complexities of life. May his words affirm your call and our call as a Church, especially as we approach All Saints' Day. God bless you!

Saints, People Like Us

from Bread for the Journey

Through baptism we become part of a family much larger than our biological family. It is a family of people "set apart" by God to be light in the darkness. These set-apart people are called saints. Although we tend to think about saints as holy and pious, and picture them with halos above their heads and ecstatic gazes, true saints are much more accessible. They are men and women like us, who live ordinary lives and struggle with ordinary problems. What makes them saints is their clear and unwavering focus on God and God's people. Some of their lives may look quite different, but most of their lives are remarkably similar to our own.

The saints are our brothers and sisters, calling us to become like them.

Sunday Worship

8:30am & 11:00am

Children are invited to pick up children's worship materials at the entrance to the Sanctuary or Great Hall.

Beginning in 2nd grade, children stay in worship with their families. We need young people in worship to fully represent the breadth of God’s family in our midst.
