On August 30, at 6 PM, the whole church is invited to attend a special dinner fundraiser all about our Youth Group's summer adventures! Our students and Adult Participants will share about their experiences at Montreat, Appalachia Service Project, and Asheville Youth Mission, and we'll partake in a delicious southern meal together. The night should run from 6-7:15 PM.

The money raised from this fundraiser dinner will go toward our Youth's trips NEXT summer, in 2024. It'll be here before we know it! Sign up today!

Fall Growth Groups

We will be reading Learning to Walk in the Dark by Barbara Brown Taylor this fall.

Growth Groups will meet for 8 weeks beginning the week of September 10. Click here for group information. Register for your group by August 27th.

We are returning to visit our friends in Lebanon, led by Presbyterian Mission Co-Worker and friend of FPC, Rev. Elmarie Parker. All are welcome, whether new or returning to global mission. The cost of the trip is $900 per person. Contact Mary Sellers Shaw to register or to request a scholarship. The deadline to register is September 1; space is limited.

All ages will gather for Rally Day on Sunday, August 27, at 9:00 AM in the Sanctuary to learn about this fall's Wonder Hour/Sunday School classes.

Help us once a quarter by becoming a Common Grounds volunteer! You will help prepare the coffee and set up the refreshment table on the Sundays you are scheduled. Training on the coffee preparation is to be provided on 8/20 and 9/10 at 7:30 AM (and additionally as needed). Contact Verna Rydlund or Jennifer Sower to express interest or with any questions. 

Vanco Giving Update

We are please to announce our new and improved online giving page! Vanco, our eGiving provider, has updated their online giving platform to make it easier than ever to make one-time gifts or set up recurring donations to our church. An email was sent out on Monday, August 14th, with additional information.
