Sunday Morning Worship

Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:15 AM in person and Livestream. Sunday Wonder Hour for all ages is at 9:00 AM, with Common Grounds at 9:45 AM.

You can find past sermons and the upcoming order of worship on our website.

This week's scripture for reflection: Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11

The last week of An Unlikely Advent takes place this Wednesday, Dec. 13. Join us in reflecting on the unlikely and unexpected ways God works through the supporting characters of the Christmas story. The discussion is lead by Anne Keener and is available via Zoom.

As we continue to lift up those affected by the recent tornados in prayer, there are also ways for you to volunteer in relief efforts. You can find out more information about Hands On Nashville and The Presbytery of Middle Tennessee's organized volunteer opportunities on the FPC website.

Join us in a peaceful candlelit sanctuary for a service with space for silence, scripture, and prayer. We will make space for the wide array of emotions that come with this season and reflect on how God’s light fills our lives. You will have the opportunity to write the names of people or situations in your life or the world for which you are in prayer and then place those prayers under a lit candle as a visible sign of lifting them into God’s light. Please make plans to join us. All are welcome. The service will be livestreamed.

Advent Poinsettias for the sanctuary may be given in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one with a $20 donation. All names will be listed on a bulletin insert throughout Advent. Please provide information via the connection card or through the FPC Giving tab when you pay.

If writing a check, please make it payable to First Presbyterian Church (Flower Fund.) Thank you for supporting our flower fund while remembering loved ones.

If you need help ordering online, reach out to

Catherine Olson, 615-639-1708.

Come celebrate the birth of Christ for our annual Birthday Party for Jesus on Dec. 24. All ages will meet at 9 AM in Wilson Hall for cupcakes, crafts, and a reading of the birth of Christ from Luke.

The flowers add to our worship by reminding us of God’s creation and then are broken down into smaller arrangements and delivered to members of our congregation as a reminder of the love of their church family and of God.

The cost is $85, and you may pay online or with a check with worship flowers in the memo line. The signups are on a first come first serve basis. If you have a specific date you would like, sign up ASAP. Thank you for providing flowers each week to enhance worship.

We still need a female innkeeper or husband and wife Dec. 20

for Room In The Inn. Sign up here.

You can be a part of FPC's next missions trip. The deadline to register is Jan. 10. More information online.
