Sunday Morning Worship

Join us for worship this Sunday at

10:15 AM in person and Livestream. Sunday Wonder Hour for all ages is at 9:00 AM, with Common Grounds at 9:45 AM.

You can find past sermons and the upcoming order of worship on our website.

This week's scripture for reflection: Genesis 9:8-17

All the Lenten midweek services this year are based on the theme, “One Bread, One Body,” using texts from the book, “Meeting Jesus at the Table: A Lenten Study,” by Cynthia Campbell and Christine Coy Fohr. This is also the theme of our 2024 stewardship campaign, and each week we will explore our response to God’s grace through these texts. Lent is a wonderful time to consider the discipline of giving as part of the spiritual life. All we have and are is a gift from the hand of God. God invites us to join in the Divine generosity, for the sake of the world.
The Session will be considering the proposed church Ministry Plan (budget) in its meeting on February 18. We will be sharing that plan with you and inviting you to make an Estimate of Giving for 2024. We ask that you submit your Estimate of Giving by Commitment Sunday, March 24. There is also a place on our website where you can submit an Estimate of Giving.

Many of our members were able to support The Jiselle Lauren Foundation at their annual fundraiser on February 3. Jill and Bailey Pratt host the Sparkle for Smiles event to raise awareness and funds to support families and children with disabilities.

In the Narthex, you'll find two large foam boards with envelopes

numbered 1-100 on them. Your job is to take one (or more!) envelopes home with you and return them in the next few Sundays with the numbered amount of money inside. Of course, you are welcome to contribute more funds than the number indicated on the envelope! Let's try and get every envelope taken off of that board and raise some money for our wonderful youth group!

Collection/envelope returning will run through Sunday February 25, after which late envelopes can be delivered to Sam's mailbox in the church offices.

The Williamson County Homeless Alliance will be hosting their annual breakfast fundraiser on Monday, March 4th at 7:30 a.m. at Christ Community Church. This year's theme is March Forth. First Presbyterian Church is a sponsor, and admission is free, but seating is limited, so please go online to register. Register at this link.

Volunteer with Meals-on-Wheels. We are looking for a driver and rider for 2 routes on Fridays, a driver on Wednesdays as well as help in the kitchen on Wednesdays. If you are interested in volunteering as a driver or rider, reach out to Tiffany Bechtel at tbech@yahoo.com or 615-861-0265.
