This week's scripture for reflection: Psalm 46: 1-11

Preaching: Warner Durnell

Thank you all so much for your participation and support thus far in our Give to Grow campaign. It has been a joy to see the Vision Cards in Wilson Hall and the enthusiasm with which you all have responded to this campaign. As of today, we have 103 families that have pledge for a total of $986,106. This is amazing and we are so incredibly grateful!

As we go into the last week of the campaign and continue to try to reach our goal of 100% participation, please prayerfully consider pledging if you have not done so yet. We are asking for all pledges to be turned in by this coming Sunday, November 17. As a reminder, pledge cards are available in every pew or you can pledge online by clicking here.

The Mission Committee is partnering with Poplar Grove Elementary/Middle School to make Christmas special for five local families, providing gifts for 15 children in need.

How You Can Help:

  • Gift Needs: Each child will receive toys and clothing, with a budget of $100 per child. Teens appreciate gift cards (Walmart, Target, or fast food).
  • Essentials: Please include 3 essentials for each child, choosing from: pajamas, hoodie, hat, mittens/gloves, water bottle, socks, or underwear. (NOOK will provide coats.)
  • Family Gift Card: Add a $50 Kroger or Walmart gift card (in a separate small gift bag) for parents to purchase special holiday items.

Gift Delivery:

  • Instructions: Please place each child’s gifts in a single, unwrapped gift bag labeled with their name.
  • Drop-Off Deadline: All gifts should be delivered to FPC (location TBD) by December 1.

To sponsor an entire family, a child, or provide a family gift card, please email Christine Grisham or call 615-579-1186 by November 22.

Don't miss this presentation given by our very own Michelle Hatcher, who is the Director of Water Management at the City of Franklin. She will be discussing practical information on water treatment and conservation.

The Advent Workshop is an annual intergenerational event which happens on the First Sunday of Advent during Sunday Morning Wonder Hour/Sunday School. Join us at 9 AM on Sunday, December 1 in Wilson Hall for centers to help guide your Advent season.

The Manger Tree is part of FPC's Christmas tradition. Each year our church collects gifts for GraceWorks’ Manger. A Christmas tree is now setup in Wilson Hall and is covered with Manger gift tags. Each Manger tag includes a child’s age group on the front with directions and a list of gift ideas on the back. The suggested gift price is $40 - $60 as this will be their main Christmas gift. You are invited to take as many tags as you want.

This year you have a couple of ways to share a gift. You may use the QR code on the tag to choose a gift from the Amazon Wish List set up by GraceWorks for each age group, which will be delivered directly to GraceWorks for them to place in their Manger store. Your other option is to make your own selection using the ideas on the tags and return your unwrapped gifts to the Manger Tree in Wilson Hall by Sunday, December 8, and FPC will deliver all collected gifts to GraceWorks.
