This week's scripture for reflection: Matthew 25:14-30

As we "Await the Light" together this Advent, join us during WNL Nov. 29, Dec. 6, & 13 to reflect on the unlikely and unexpected ways God works through the supporting characters of the Christmas story.

Anne Keener will use An Unlikely Advent as the basis for this 3-week series, but you do not need to read the book to join us on this Unlikely Advent Journey. Zechariah, Elizabeth, Herrod, the magi, and the shepherds rarely take center stage, but this Advent, we are going on an unlikely journey as we read the stories of these unlikely characters anew.

Please let Mary Sellers know if you plan on attending.

In addition to purchasing a gift, please consider volunteering at the Manger. FPC has been assigned Dec. 14, 2:30-5:15 PM. We need 20 people to help GraceWorks Ministries provide a wonderful Christmas experience to Williamson County families in need! Volunteer tasks would include organizing, manning gift tables, replenishing gifts, greeting, cleaning up, etc. Sign up here.

Sign up here or on the bulletin board in Wilson Hall.

On Dec. 10, a wonderful Advent season tradition returns: the youth are hosting the annual Chili Cook-off and Live Nativity fundraiser! From 5-7 PM, come compete or sample different chili dishes, voting for your favorite with money to go toward youth summer mission trips and conferences! As we mingle and taste delicious chili, groups will be invited to go experience the Nativity story, as acted out by our youth group! If you'd like to enter a chili dish into the competition, please sign up here. Questions? Email Sam Belcher.

Join the 3rd annual MLK Weekend. January 12-15 we’re traveling to Memphis to learn more about the Civil Rights Movement as well as how the city is creatively responding to current challenges. Open to all ages (children & youth accompanied by an adult), cost $75. We’ll intentionally recognize the holiday as we learn, serve, and have fun in our neighboring city!

Welcome to the NEW Members!
