This week's scripture for reflection: Job 1:1, Job 2:1-10 & Hebrews 1:1-4

Preaching: Warner Durnell

Our hearts go out to all affected from Florida to Virginia by Hurricane Helene and the devastating flooding. We are praying for the families and friends of all who died as a result of the storm. We pray for the countless homes and businesses that have been washed away or damaged. We pray for those still living without power and water. We pray for the communities that will have to navigate the loss of infrastructure where roads and bridges are gone. We give thanks for all the first responders and others who immediately began helping. We pray for patience and stamina in the recovery. We pray for generous hearts to help the rebuilding.

As many of you know, we have an amazing PCUSA Conference Center in Montreat, NC which endured catastrophic flooding and extensive damage. For more information or to donate to the Montreat Hurrican Helene Restoration fund click here.

Black Mountain Presbyterian Church is right outside Montreat, and they are currently 1 of 3 places people can go for food and basic supplies. If you want to donate to their efforts, click here to give via their website and use the memo "hurricane relief.

The Annual FPC Women's Retreat at NaCoMe takes place November 1-3 this year we have the honor of hearing from Dr. Ruth McDowell-Lavender who will be sharing with us on the topic, "Resting in God's Love.” Get away, enjoy the beauty of NaCoMe, relish in old and new friendships, and return renewed and refreshed! Sign up online.

Wow! Thank you, FPC family, for an incredible blood drive yesterday!

We set a goal of collecting 25 pints, and you went above and beyond by donating 31 pints, which can help save the lives of up to 93 patients. We had 31 donors, with 6 power red pints collected, 2 deferrals, and 1 QNS (quantity not sufficient). We’re especially thrilled to welcome 6 first-time donors to this life-saving effort! Your generosity and commitment to helping others truly make a difference. Thank you for being such an amazing community!

Join us for a relaxing afternoon at Arrington Vineyards on Saturday, October 5 at 3:00 PM! Enjoy beautiful views, great conversation, and fellowship. Bring food or non-alcoholic beverages, wine is available for purchase. We will try to be at the picnic tables near the entrance and will send out an email to the YA list that afternoon.

Be a part of FPC's Fall Festival in partnership with Hard Bargain Association on Saturday, October 19! Enjoy Trunk or Treat, a BBQ dinner, a movie, and more fun for the whole family. We’re also looking for volunteers to help make this event a success! Sign up here to help. If your Sunday School class, Growth Group, or family would like to participate by decorating a trunk and passing out candy, contact Katie Oldham. We need lots of decorated trunks to make an exciting atmosphere!

All guests who would like to learn more about

FPC Franklin are invited to attend. Please contact Anne Keener for more information.

FPC Franklin will once again have a table at PumpkinFest in Downtown Franklin on October 26. We need members to sign up to be at the booth for  2 hours shifts throughout the day. We would like 3 people per shift so ask a friend to sign up with you. It is a fun way to connect with people in the community, share about the church and how much you love your church family, and get to meet other members.

Join us for Wednesday Night Live! Dinner is at 6:00 PM, programs for all ages 6:45 - 7:30 PM. Bring the entire family!
