Spoof Emails

Please be aware that many spoof emails are going around that appear to be coming from our FPC staff but are not. Please do not respond to these emails and know we would not reach out to you in that way.
On May 29, we will have one service at 10 AM. There is no Sunday School on May 29. Beginning June 5 until July 31, Sunday School will start at 9 AM followed by Worship at 10 AM.
New Member Dinner

Thank you to the Inglis family and the Congregational Care Committee for hosting our New Member Dinner on April 30. We are grateful for all our new members and look forward to recognizing our newest members in worship on Sunday.

We had another successful season of Growth Groups. Thank you for all who participated and a special thank you to our facilitators: Don & Judi Arnold, Bill Carver, Katie England, Dave Stivers, Namaste Anderson, Judith Wilson, and Art & Jane Herron. New groups will form again in the fall and begin meeting in September. Look for more book and group details late in the summer.
Congregational Care Ministries Appreciation Open House

Thank you to the Mahurins and the Congregational Care Committee for hosting our Congregational Care Appreciation Open House. We are grateful for all those who serve in our ministries: Caring Connection, Flower Delivery, Grief Books, Growth Groups, Keep in Touch, Meals, Directory, Prayer Shawl, Reach Outs, Welcome and Stephen Ministries.
Reach Out Ministry
In March 2020, when we realized the “safer at home” phase would last for a while, we created a Reach Out Ministry to help keep us all connected during an uncertain time. Over the past two years, 50 different FPC members made over 4700 contacts to other members through calls or cards. We have decided it is time to bring this ministry to an end and want to thank all those who responded to God’s grace through this important ministry. I have heard from many that it was blessing to make the calls, and I hope you all felt it was a blessing to receive them too.

Thank you: Ann Zander, Anne Parsons, Art Herron, Barb Heerman, Barbara Roos, Betty Webb, Betty Willoughby, Carol Busby, Chuck Cairatti, Cindy Blackburn, Claire Crunk, Clarke Oldham, Dale Roos, Dee Bechtel, Don Arnold, Duke Ellis, Hank McCall, Hattie Kissel, J. Edward Campbell, Jane Herron, Jane Plumley, Janice Eddlemon, Jean Acklin, Jeanette Crosswhite, Jennifer Godwin, Jim Skillen, Judi Arnold, Karen Coleman, Ken Zander, Lauren Inglis, Lissa Bradford, Maggie Garafola, Mary Jane Wormer, Namaste Anderson, Rachael Stanfill, Robin Pulliam, Sally Wanzer, Sandra Fields, Sharon Quintana, Steve Hoeffler, Steve Lewis, Sue Banner, Susan Burns, Susan Oldham, Suzette Rutherford, Tammy Love, Terry Love, and Tiffany Bechtel.

Gratefully,
Anne Keener

The last 2-hour shift includes tearing down the tent at the end of the night. Sign up HERE to volunteer.
Director of Youth Ministries:

Our Session has formed a Search Committee for the full time position of Director of Youth Ministries. The Job Description and contact email is on our website.

Please keep this search in your prayers.
After ten years of service, Tripcast will be shutting down at the end of May. FPC has used Tripcast for many church trip photos over the past few years, so if you have an account, you may want to download the photos before they're gone.

Your gift is already helping our hungry brothers and sisters! Thank you for your gift of health and hope. FPC Franklin's help with gleaning provides over 22,000 servings of healthy, nourishing food on the tables of individuals and families who are struggling to get by.
Thank you for showing love for your Neighbor through your recent contribution to GraceWorks Ministries. Your gift has helped neighbors in need. One example is Judy, a young woman in her early 20s, who came to GraceWorks desperate for help. Judy is the sole caregiver for her father, who is severly disabled. His need for round-the-clock care prevents Judy from going to work or school. After hearing her story, GraceWorks eased their financial burden by helping with their rent and giving them a shopping cart full of groceries.
On behalf of Presbyterian Mission, thank you for your congregation's commitment to the ministry of Jesus Christ through the Presbyterian Mission Agency. Your gift makes a difference in the lives of people here in the United States and abroad in over 70 different countries. Your generosity has provided support to the Middle East Council of Churches (Children's trauma ministry, general support, and relief support).
