Session Notes
During its in-person and Zoom online meeting on December 19, the Session…
· learned that the church’s income for November 2022 was $59,951; expenses, $45,368; and net income, $14,583; for January through November 2022, income was $663,629; expenses, $648,806; and net income, $14,823;
· learned the current status of our stewardship campaign for 2023:
Received $657,034
Goal $741,756
Remaining $84,722
Number of pledge units: 118, including 12 new units. 22 decreased their pledges this year; 42 increased their pledges.
· approved Rob Garcia’s membership by reaffirmation of faith;
· sustained the elder examinations for all members of the Elder Class of 2025, who will be ordained and installed on January 8: Susan Bannon, Ruth Brock, Karen Herring, Sarah Hill, Shane Klugh, Daniel Parsons, Susan Stanley, and Jim Disque (Trustee);
· learned that most of the new windows have been installed;
· learned that sixteen UKirk students will attend the Montreat College Conference and that Alex Kaeppler and Sarah Patterson will accompany the group as chaperones; and
· learned attendance for recent worship services: November 27, 123; December 4, 146; December 11, 152; and December 18, 132.
