Save the Date: At the River Film Screening at Pebble Hill

On Saturday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m., First Presbyterian will be hosting a screening of the film, At the River: A Memoir of Struggle and Grace in the Segregated South. The film includes interviews with former FPC Pastors Wallace Alston and John Kuykendall. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the film screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Carolyn Crowder, former member of Westminster Fellowship. Carolyn will also join us for the Sunday School hour on August 28 to continue this discussion. We hope to see you there!

University classes start next week, and so does UKirk Presbyterian Campus Ministry! If you know a college student who is interested in finding a church home while in Auburn, invite them to check out UKirk. UKirk will have our kickoff dinner Sunday, August 21 at 6 p.m. in the FPC Courtyard for any college students to come and learn more about UKirk, and to meet some new friends.

Sign up to feed the college students!

UKirk is starting it’s Sunday evening programming in September, and we need volunteers to provide dinner!

Dinner is from 7-8 p.m. on Sundays in Baird Hall and we usually have about 12-15 people attend. We ask that the meal providers bring dinner and dessert and UKirk will provide the drinks. You are welcome to stay and eat dinner with UKirk. The students are so appreciative of these meals, and eating with them is a great way to get to know them. Sign up for a Sunday evening here

If cooking is not your gift, you can make a donation to the UKirk Meal Fund which covers other meals we have as a community. To make a contribution, you can send a check to FPC with “UKirk Meal Fund” noted in the memo line.

Thank you for your support of our college students!

Third Wednesday Fellowship Inaugural Event a Success!

Many thanks to all those who helped prepare the delicious meal, and to all those who came out to enjoy it.  See you September 21!
