This Sunday we will celebrate our graduating seniors during the 11:00 worship service. I hope you will join us for worship out at Town Creek Park (if it is raining, we will worship in the sanctuary) and then a picnic afterwards.

High school graduation is an important milestone in the lives of our seniors and this is our chance to let them know how much we love and support them in this transition into the next chapter. Bring your favorite picnic lunch for after worship. We will provide water and we will also have a cake as part of the celebration. Hope to see you there!

For our final worship service before Memorial Day Weekend we look forward to worshiping at the Town Creek Pavilion. Bring your own chair and lunch, and we will enjoy a time of fellowship following the service to celebrate our graduating seniors!  Dress is comfortable/casual to accommodate the beginning of summer weather. No offering will be received - feel free to bring your check by the church office during the week, mail it in, or save it for the 29th.

The 9am service will take place in the sanctuary that morning and be available on YouTube for those worshiping from home.

Exciting Changes!

Throughout the next several months you may notice quite a bit happening on the third and ground floors of the education building! Guided by our church's master plan, the Property Committee and representatives of Christian Education are working hard to renovate adult, youth, and children's classrooms. We hope to celebrate with an official unveiling in August as we begin the new program year. In the meantime:

  • Thank you to all our groups who have relocated to new spaces for the summer!
  • If you are interested in helping with various tasks that will arise throughout the summer (painting, furniture cleaning/painting/refinishing, cleaning and assembling furniture) please contact Rev. Kathy Reed or Chris Sarkowski
  • Finally, you may financially support this project by making a gift to the Facility Improvement Fund at https://www.fpcauburn.org/give. (More details to come soon!)

Prayer Concerns & Celebrations

For the time period in which our church family is worshiping virtually, our pastors have decided that prayer concerns will be shared via weekly email. These individuals will most certainly be prayed for during our Sunday worship service, but their names and specific concerns will not be shared via broadcast.

  • Prayers of healing for Bob Cochran as prepares for surgery next week to remove a malignant tumor.
  • Continued prayers of comfort for Patsy Combs as she grieves the death of Bill.
  • Prayers of healing for Sarah Hill as she recovers at home after successful knee replacement surgery.
  • Please continue to pray for many members of our church who are dealing with illness or significant health issues, but at this time do not wish to be mentioned by name. Prayers of healing for many in our congregation.
  • Prayers of healing for Thomas Pope’s parents as they both recover from health issues these last few weeks.
  • We pray for the nation of Ukraine and we pray for peace as they face senseless violence and war from another nation. We pray that all will come to a peaceful solution and no more people will be injured or killed.
  • Continued prayers of healing for a family member of Myrna Walker. Myrna’s relative is now home and continuing to recover from hip replacement surgery.
  • Prayers of healing for Kay Recknor’s friends the Rev. Mitzi Lesher-Thomas and her husband the Rev. Troy Thomas. Mitzi has glioblastoma brain cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy.
  • Prayers for Tripp Hinkle’s mother as she receives treatment for cancer.
  • Prayers for Amy Kilner and her family (daughter in law of Dorothy Moran). Amy is in need of a kidney transplant and is currently looking for a donor.
  • Prayers of healing and wholeness for the friends of the Barnes Family, Wes and Melanie Jackson. Both Wes and Melanie are seeking treatment for significant health issues.
