New Pipe Organ Update

Casavant Countdown: 5 Months

Casavant Opus 3938 (Installation – September of 2020)

Work continues on the new organ in the Casavant workshop in Montreal, where assembly is currently taking place. Please take a moment to see a few latest images and watch for more updates and information next month!

( Images left to right ) RECIT I and II—“expressive” divisions completely enclosed in a wooden boxes, receive some of the first wooden pipes to be installed in the organ.

( Above ) Construction of the console, the “control center” of the new organ, continues at the Casavant workshop. Stained as an exact match to the wood in the Sanctuary, the exterior wood of the console is constructed in red oak, while the interior is walnut.

Mission

Thank you to everyone who wrote letters of encouragement to our neighborhood nonprofits, medical facilities, schools, restaurants, and other local businesses. Feel free to use our list to write more letters of encouragement throughout this time. We all could use a little encouragement right now!

We are also thankful to those who are making masks at home for hospitals and other medical professionals. We're in this together!
