Wednesday AM Bible Study to Resume on Zoom!

September 23 – November 18, 10 – 11 AM

Pastor Chris will lead the study using the book: Breaking the Code: Understanding the Book of Revelation by Bruce M. Metzger. The Book of Revelation contains passages of great beauty and comfort, as well as passages that strike the casual reader as bizarre, bewildering, and sometimes frightening. How are readers today to discern God’s message in this peculiar part of the Bible? Breaking the Code Revised Edition provides a trustworthy guide to the rich symbolism of this important biblical book. Noted biblical scholar Bruce M. Metzger presents the fruits of solid scholarship in a non-academic style. This edition includes updates based on current biblical research, as well as additional teaching from author and respected New Testament scholar David deSilva. Prayers for Preschool

This year will look a little different, but our FPC Preschool is planning to start back August 20. Please keep Cheri Lindsley and all the teachers in your prayers this week. You can say an extra prayer for Cheri and her family as they are grieving the loss of Phil’s parents, Poppy and Nanny, They died within 66 hours of each other and had been married 73 years. Here is our fall lineup of staff: Erin Boulware, Melissa Durmon, Sally Dukes, Marilyn Feliciano, Courtney Montag, Jenny Nordhoff, Sweta Panigrahy, Kelly Tabeling, Lynne Welch, Gina Williams, and Paula Wilson.

We have created a new tab on our website as a resource for FPC families: http://fpcfranklin.org/at-home. This page includes all the videos and information to Presbyterian Kid Challenge. We will have updated information for your At Home resources and updates about our phases for reentry.

Presbyterian Kid Challenge

Are you interested in becoming a CHURCH PEN PAL with a child in our church family? We need adults who are interested in accepting this challenge. You can make a new friend and be connected through the mail. Being a pen pal means that you write a letter about yourself and mail it to the Church Pen Pal you are assigned. They will mail a letter back to you, you are welcome to keep the correspondence going with another letter or card. The children are studying Jesus’ statement “I am the vine; you are the branches.” in John 15:5 and being reminded the importance of staying connected with relationships. Email Kim Joiner if you would like to be assigned a Church Pen Pal.
