Fall Growth Groups
We invite you to join the Fall 2021 Growth Groups. These groups create space for deeper connection with God and others through book discussion and community prayer. For this session we are offering in person and Zoom options.
Groups will:
·       Meet for 1½ hours each week in person; 1 hour on Zoom.
·       Meet at church, in members’ homes, or on Zoom.
·       Meet for 8 weeks beginning the week of September 12.
·       Read The Sin of Certainty: Why God Desires Our Trust More Than Our “Correct” Beliefs by Peter Enns
Registration is open until Sunday, August 29, but the quicker you sign up the easier it is for our planning purposes. We encourage you to prayerfully consider participating in a group.

We have 30 copies of the book available in the church office to purchase for $8 on a first come, first serve basis.

Back to School Blues?
Has the last child left for college? Has the last child started school? Have you decided to homeschool and you are getting overwhelmed? Are you a teacher or school administrator trying to navigate safety guidelines and do your job? If you are feeling overwhelmed by any of these situations or others, please reach out to our FPC Stephen Ministry by contacting Stephen Leader, Judi Arnold (judimarnold@gmail.com or 615.579.0364), or one of our FPC pastors for assistance.

Ice Cream Social
Thank you to everyone who braved the heat and joined us for our Ice Cream Social last Sunday! Special thanks to Jim Keener, Tiffany, Randy, and Grayce Bechtel for serving us the delicious ice cream and toppings, and to our master joke teller/ DJ/ host, Dale Roos!
Primetimers September Event
On Friday, September 3rd at 2pm please join us for a Zoom gathering to kick off the Labor Day weekend. We’ll begin with a very short video on the history of Labor Day and then we’ll share stories of our work experiences, whether they are exciting, boring, funny, downright serious or maddening-maybe all of them rolled into just one position! Join us as we share our own histories.
Wednesday Night Live
Have you made your reservation yet? WNL returns September 8, and reservations are needed for all attending. We hope to accommodate all dietary needs so please not the need (vegan, GF, diabetic, nut allergy, etc.) on the reservation, and you will receive a response confirming. We will have a few basic meals available for guests. Click here to make your reservation today!

Great news! GraceWorks Ministries just finished their Golf Fore GraceWorks event on August 23rd. A new donation record was set with revenues of $136,000 and more expected. Thanks to individuals in our church family who donated $6230 to this important event. These funds will help those dealing with food insecurity and those in emergency financial situations. FPC Franklin has been a long time supporter and this is just another example of the generous hearts that are in the congregation. Thanks for being a blessing!
Our neighbors in Waverly need our support more than ever!

This is the most up-to-date donation request list! Please note that we cannot accept used items! If you can’t make it to one of our donation drop off sites, you can always purchase items off of our Amazon wish-list, which we are updating hourly! We have three donation drop off sites, you can bring items to CRC, to @showerthepeople, and to @thegetalong in East Nashville.

Thank you so much for supporting the efforts to provide relief to our neighbors!!
