Starting this Sunday, we will have Indoor Worship in the Sanctuary at both 8:30 and 11 AM. We will continue to livestream the 8:30 AM service. Following COVID protocol, we will seat 24 family groups per service. Sign up here or call Sara Chang at 615.794.5114 ext 203. The deadline to register each week is the Thursday night prior to that particular Sunday.

Due to weather conditions, we are replacing our Ash Wednesday Livestream, Outdoor Service, and Courtyard Ashes/Prayers with a Zoom service tomorrow at noon. The video will be broadcast on FB beginning at noon and you can watch it anytime you'd like on our website.
Indoor Worship for families
Sign up your family to attend worship and your preschool - lower elementary aged children will have the opportunity to join for a prayer walk, Bible story, and playground time. Katie Oldham is coordinating this modified version of Children’s Worship for leaders and helpers to offer for 8:30 and 11 services. Children will be expected to wear facial coverings and leaders will help them maintain social distance. This is an optional ministry and outerwear will be needed. The children will leave after the Time with the Young Church and be returned to the sanctuary before the end of the service. Contact Katie at [email protected] or 615-947-5044 for more information.
Lent At Home
For Families with Children: You should have received a mailing that included a Lenten resource designed by GenOn Ministries and the information about upcoming activities for the FPC outdoor areas. If you have not received the mailing please email Kim Joiner [email protected] to request.

Lent at Home in Community is a six-session resource for your home to use during Lent. The sessions, written for all ages, can be done by individuals or with others within the same home. You may do one, some, or all the sessions. Choose a Lent at Home day for each session, preferably the same day each week. All supplies should be readily available in your home. Make substitutions as needed so that preparation is easy.
Your family should have also received Lent 2021 A Prayer A Day calendar for short prompts to use.

For the church community: Each Wednesday there will be a new outdoor prayer/spirituality activity that will be available during Lent. We are taking things from our Lenten Spirituality Center and the Lent at Home in Community resource to add to our FPC outdoor environment which includes: A Labyrinth, Prayer Wall, Pavilion and Grassy area, Koi Pond with benches, Rain Garden, Arboretum Find and Seek (46 Species listed on website), Playground, and Courtyard Memorial Garden. The weekly children’s activity will be highlighted in a brightly colored play tent at the sanctuary doors.

Worship Flower Dedications
You are invited to dedicate worship flowers in honor of or in memory of someone each week starting February 21. The cost is $85. This will be on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a specific date you would like, sign up ASAP. Thank you for providing flowers each Sunday. The Re-Open Task Force continues to meet weekly. We are excited about beginning in-person worship in the Sanctuary this Sunday. We feel good about this plan given the downward trajectory of the virus and the increase in vaccinations. However, the Task Force wants to remind everyone that virus levels in the community still require diligence when gathering. Please remember to wear masks and observe physical distancing at church and everywhere you go in public.
