6:30 PM: Zoom opens for chat time | 6:45 PM: WNL Program begins

Join us via ZOOM only from January 12 - February 23 for our series "Exploring the Religions of the World." Dr. Jim Goodnow recently moved to Franklin and joined our church, and he has taught at schools across the world. The seven presentations on World Religions give an introductory overview of the origins, tenets and practices of the globe's major non-Christian faith traditions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Confucianism, Daoism, Shinto, Judaism, Islam and selected others. You are encouraged to read the corresponding book to this study The Religions Book: Big Ideas Simply Explained available on Amazon. Jim has also provided a thorough handout to study along with the lesson. The zoom link will be uploaded to our website weekly.

Congregational Care
Stephen Ministry
If your new year is not starting out so happy for you or someone you know, we are here to help. Consider accepting the gift of a trained individual to provide confidential Christian care and giving you the emotional and spiritual support you need to make it through a winter in your life. To learn more about how a Stephen Minister can help you or someone you know, contact Stephen Leader, Judi Arnold (615.579.0364) or one of the FPC Pastors.  Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you.
The Meal Ministry has continued to be active during the past year. Thank you to all who have provided meals for others in our congregation. If you would like to learn more about serving in this ministry, contact Sue Mahurin (615-516-7013).
Donate between Jan 1-31 for an entry to win Super Bowl LVI trip in LA and a free Dunkin Donut Coffee Coupon.
Wednesday Night Live Dinners will not start back tomorrow since the Program is via ZOOM only. We will give an update on dinners as soon as we feel it safe to gather together for a meal. You are welcome to join the Zoom call at 6:30 PM for a time to chat and fellowship before the program starts at 6:45 PM. Thank you for your patience as we navigate through these times together.
Sisters in Spirit continues to meet on Fridays at 10 AM and will be meeting by zoom in the immediate future. We will begin a 10 to 12 week study of a new book on January 21. The book we have chosen is Forgiving My Father, Forgiving Myself: An Invitation to the Miracle of Forgiveness by Ruth Graham (Billy Graham's daughter). If you are looking for a flexible, supportive, and prayerful women's group, please contact Martha Johnson (615-400-6276) or Cindy Blackburn (615-260-8680). We welcome visitors and new members at any time!
Worship Flowers in 2022
Do you enjoy the worship flowers each Sunday? We have many open dates for you to donate flowers in memory or in honor of or in celebration or thanksgiving for anyone or anything. These worship flowers are then broken down into smaller arrangements on Mondays and delivered to members of our congregation as a reminder of God’s love and our prayers. Click here to sign up today.

ReOpen Task Force

The task force will meet again next week, but here are the current guidelines. We continue to require everyone over the age of two, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask at church. We also continue to pray for healthcare workers and all affected by COVID. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
