We are grateful for Nancy Moody, Lucy Battle, Margaret Roberts, and all who have made our WNL meal such an important, delicious, and meaningful time in the life of our faith community. They are taking the fall off, so we are in the planning phase of reimagining the WNL meal for the fall. We have begun meeting in person again. Join us in the Parlor from 1-2:30 PM on the 1^st and 3^rd Mondays of the month! This is for those who already knit/crochet or those who want to learn. If you are interested in joining or simply learning more, contact Karen Hanson ([email protected] or 407-341-3944). All are welcome!

Faithful members breakdown the worship flowers each Monday so other devoted members can deliver them to various members. If you are interested in joining our substitute driver list or learning more about this ministry, contact Betty Barcheski ([email protected] or 630-995-1113).

After 11 years the Memorial Garden will receive a “refresh” later this month. All of the green within the circular Garden will be removed by hand, dirt added to bring the soil to its original height, and the greenery replaced/added.

All niches where remains have been interred will be marked before work begins so as to not disturb the remains.

Additionally, new benches have been ordered and should be delivered by month end.

Just as the church ministers to us during significant points in our lives, it is fitting that the church continues to remember those who are interred in the Memorial Garden with caring upkeep.
