Mission
2 NDSAT
This month’s 2 NDSAT is in honor of all the essential workers who are working to keep our community safe during this time. On Saturday morning, we will send a church-wide email sharing a list of addresses of companies and organizations to support. We ask that you and your family send a note of encouragement to a few of these organizations to thank them for their work. We pray for health and safety for all those on the front lines.
Room In The Inn:
Thank You for Loving your Neighbor!

In gratitude and thankfulness, we recognize the RITI team coordinators Leah Stein, Robin Pulliam, Chris Jones, John Grimm, Mike Anderson, Sally Bullock, Betsy Adgent, Cathy McCall, Namaste Anderson, and Sue Banner. While team leaders are important, special thanks goes to each person who spent the night, set up rooms, or prepared breakfast or lunch this season. With the support of the entire congregation, this ministry has served those who are shelter-compromised for sixteen years. We look forward to beginning our seventeenth year in November 2020. Again, thank you for your support.

Holy Week
Holy Week Prayer Bread
In preparation for the celebration of the Lord’s Supper on Maundy Thursday, we invite the congregation to bake bread and participate in a time of prayer. A bread recipe and prayer liturgy will be sent out Wednesday morning. We invite you to join us as we pray for the world and remember that we are the created, redeemed Body of Christ.

Needed ingredients:
1 tablespoon yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup warm water
2 1⁄2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Virtual Easter Egg Hunt
We are asking families to use TWO hashtags: #fpcfranklin and #onebasket2020 Post your egg picture and what Easter means to you today until Saturday at 12 PM using these two hashtags.
Virtual Yoga
Even though we aren’t meeting at church to practice yoga together, we are meeting on zoom to practice yoga at home together Thursday at 9:30 AM. (Link below) Deep breathing is important for many reasons one of which is that it lowers anxiety. Even a simple breath prayer can help you physically and mentally. Simply breathe in through your nose as you say to yourself one phrase and then breathe out also through your nose as your say to yourself another phrase. Some suggests are Holy Spirit-fill me or Lord Jesus Christ-have mercy on me or Loving God-help me , but you can choose whatever connects with you. Continue to breathe in and out offering this prayer for several minutes. Allow it to be a doorway into deeper connection with God.

You can join our yoga partner, Small World Yoga, on their YouTube page where you will find a variety of yoga classes and practice yoga in the comfort of your home.
Assistance
During this time of safer at home many are turning to online shopping, and we have heard some are having some difficulty with this and other technology. If you would like someone from our congregation to contact you to assist you with online shopping or other technology issues such as Zoom or Facebook Live, please contact Anne Keener. Likewise, if you would like to offer your technical skills with online shopping or any other technical issues during this time, please contact Anne Keener. We continue to find new ways to be the church to one another. You may contact Anne at 615-516-0653 or [email protected] .
