Mission
December 2NDSAT
You’ve got mail! Join in on our December 2NDSAT opportunity as we share cards with loved ones, either the morning of December 12 or all month long. We invite you to send a card to a family member or friend that has been on your mind in this season. We also have addresses available if you would like to mail a card to one of our homebound members. Remember, our Cards That Give program is running all Advent long, if you’d like to include a donation in their honor to one of our mission partners! Reach out to [email protected] if you would like an address of a church member to write to. Share a card and share the love this Advent season! Christine Grisham will be at the church from 9-11 AM on Saturday with Cards That Give cards/forms.

For November's 2NDSAT, we collected 60 blankets to give to Downtown Presbyterian Church's clothes closet! Thank you to everyone who made/brought a blanket to donate!
Cards That Give
Visit http://fpcfranklin.org/serve/cards-that-give to make your selections. Pay online on our donation page or by check. Checks marked “Cards That Give” in subject line can be mailed to FPC. We will be mailing cards from the church. Christine Grisham will be at the church from 9-11 AM on Saturday with CTG cards/forms.
GraceWorks Manger
Join in this annual tradition! Beginning November 14, FPC will collect gifts for children age 0-18 (NO adults gifts will be collected). Gifts can be dropped off outside the Sanctuary doors on select days in boxes provided by GraceWorks.

Visit fpcfranklin.org/serve/graceworks-manger for more information and to find virtual Christmas tree tags for gift ideas! If you'd like to buy gifts online, you can also shop GraceWorks' Amazon Wishlist. Gifts will be sent directly to GraceWorks!

Christine Grisham will be at the church from 9-11 AM on Saturday for Manger gift drop offs. After that, anyone can drop off gifts outside the Narthex in the boxes until 4:30 PM on Sunday, which will be the end of the collection. Thank you in advance for your gifts!

Last Collection Date:

Food Bank Volunteers needed!
The Presbytery of Middle Tennessee is opening a food bank in partnership with Glencliff Presbyterian Church, Nueva Vida Church, and the Nourish Food Bank. The food bank will be hosted at Glencliff beginning in December. This project is a part of the PC(USA)’s Matthew 25 initiative and is part of our continued work to provide sustainable food resources and end systemic poverty in our communities.

The Presbytery is reaching out to congregations for help recruiting volunteers for the food bank. They need volunteers Thursdays from 10:30 AM- 1:30 PM (to unload the truck and restock food) and Saturdays from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM (for food distribution). All safety precautions will be followed for the health of volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Andrea Marulanda-Gutierrez ([email protected]) or reach out to Mary Sellers Shaw ([email protected]) to get connected.
Ways We're Serving as a Church
The Mission Committee made some exciting decisions in December. In addition to releasing the restricted funds to Living Waters for the World, Habitat for Humanity, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and the Manger, our church also did some holiday giving for the following, summing up to $10,000:

Montreat
GraceWorks
My Friend's House
Shower Up
Nashville Diaper Collective
DCS (Foster children Christmas Wish Lists)
Feed America First
Second Harvest

We are thankful for the support of the FPC community as we continue to find new ways to love our neighbors during this season.
Live Nativity: December 13th: 3 PM
We will be having our Live Nativity this year but we are doing it a little differently. Join us this Sunday (Dec 13th) anytime between 3 and 4pm for a drive though Live Nativity. Audio will be available via our At Home podcast (on Spotify, iTunes, and the church website) and our youth will be dressed as all your favorite nativity characters. Student leaders will greet you as you enter the parking lot and can provide any technical support you need. We will also be collecting Manger gifts and donations at the exit for our summer mission trips.
The beauty and majesty of our sanctuary is now ready for you to come rest and reflect during this Advent season. You are invited to visit on Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for a 30-minute block of time to have individual or family time of prayer and meditation. There are guided prayer stations (for all ages) that will be available throughout Advent: Weary World, Chrismon Find and Pray, Find Yourself in the Nativity, and Stars in the Sky. Sign up here.
