February 2NDSAT
For our February 2NDSAT, we are delivering food to two different groups in need.
Hospitality House (http://www.hhhnashville.org/) is a medical housing facility in midtown Nashville for caregivers and/or ANY patient of ANY age dealing with ANY type of illness. For over 46 years they have been a “home away from home” and lodging, meals and supportive services to guests. We'd like to show our support by providing a meal for 30 people. The food doesn't need to be hot. We'll deliver the meal to Hospitality House that day.
Williamson Medical Center Covid-19 Nursing Night shift - The WMC Covid-19 unit has been extremely busy. We want to show our appreciation by providing coffee and a light meal so the nursing staff of 11 can quickly get a bite to eat while caring for those in our community.
Sign up here: https://bit.ly/feb2ndsat. We only have a few slots remaining. Please deliver your fully cooked items in a disposable dish to the church on Feb. 13th between 9am - 11am.

FPC Arboretum
The Tennessee Urban Forestry Council (TUFC) has awarded First Presbyterian Church Level 1 Arboretum status. This is recognition of the church having 180 trees representing 46 different species of trees on our grounds with each species identified.
The process of diversifying the tree species on our grounds started in 2009 with installation of the first Memorial Trees. It is important to recognize Dylan Raines' months of work in preparing the TUFC application for his Eagle Scout project. Each species had to be identified and properly labeled. Dylan raised considerable funds to pay the cost of labels and mulch. He organized a Scout work day bringing a large number of Boy Scouts to the church to mulch and prepare our grounds for the TUFC inspection.
We are excited to invite the community to visit our grounds throughout the week to experience all that we offer including the Arboretum, Rain Garden, Fish Pond, Prayer Wall, Labyrinth, Free Little Library, and Pavilion. Read more on our website here.

Community Resource Center Notes
CALLING ALL COLORERS/DOODLERS/ARTISTS
Each month Community Resource Center sends out about 2,000 hygiene relief kits, which contain basic essentials like soap/shampoo/toothpaste/toothbrushes etc. as well as cleaning supplies.
