The Waverly Project is a way of “adopting” Waverly to be a recipient of consistent volunteer time over a period of a few months. We will meet in Waverly (90 minute drive) for a workday that will be 9:00-3:00. That way folks can leave Nashville at 7:30 and be home by 4:30. This will be mainly rebuilding / construction work, just like working on a Habitat build. Volunteers will be led by a team of professional construction personnel. No real skills needed.  Lunch will be provided. Volunteer coordination in Waverly is being handled by Inspiritus, a disaster response nonprofit.  These efforts will be continuing in Waverly for at least another year and they need our help. Stamp Out Hunger 2022 – May 14, 2022
GraceWorks needs your help! They have a big Food Drive on Saturday, May 14, 2022. They have partnered up with the Post Office to Stamp Out Hunger in Williamson County! They are in need of volunteers to help unload and load food into trucks. Sign up.

My Friend's House
One of the most popular year-round volunteer activities is called Chef for a Night, where individuals or groups sign up to bring a meal or cook a meal with residents. You can order a meal for 10 from a restaurant, pre-cook a meal at home or bring ingredients and cook in their beautiful, spacious kitchen. This is a great time to spend at My Friend’s House getting to know their residents and learning more about life at the house, and volunteers provide positive adult interactions for our youth and are an important component of our program. Sign up.
Tomorrow evening, Phillip Otts will provide background information on Russian history and foreign relations, with the goal of provoking an open discussion on the current situation in Ukraine. Questions and comments from participants will be encouraged. Dinner starts at 6 PM and is provided free of charge by the Mission Committee followed by the presentation at 6:30 PM. Childcare and Nursery will be provided.

Thank you so much for your generous donation to Hard Bargain Association. We appreciate your faithful support over the years. You are a tremendous blessing to the families we serve in the Hard Bargain neighborhood. Your partnership with us helps us offer the life changing gift of homeownership for hard working people.
Thank you for your gift to GraceWorks' Fuel bag program and helping to feed local children who may otherwise be hungry over the weekends. While students have access to free/reduced meals at school during the week, they have little, if any, nutrition on the weekends. Your donation has provided bags of food for these children to bring home. For every $1 you gave, GraceWorks has been able to provide a bag of food filled with items for children to eat.
We thank you for your most recent donation of clothing and toiletries. Because you give, small acts of faith and kindness have been transformed into something powerful and life-changing. Because of your gift we can build upon the 36 years of successfully connecting participants to long-term solutions with the ultimate goal of finding sustainable income and permanent housing.
