Mission
October 2NDSAT
Join us for our October 2NDSAT on Saturday, October 10! We will meet at Green Door Gourmet to glean Bell Peppers with the Society of St. Andrew. Volunteers should arrive at 9 am and park by the event barn. We'll walk down to the warehouse and fields together. The group will be capped at 15 people, and we ask that volunteers wear a mask at all times unless they are further than 10 feet away from anyone not part of their household. Wear clothes and shoes you wouldn't mind getting dirty, and bring work/garden gloves. For more information and to sign up, visit http://fpcfranklin.org/serve/2ndsatsosaglean.

*Stay tuned for updates in the case of rain!

FPC Mission Updates
Check out our video update from Mission Co-Chair Jason Coleman to hear about all the ways we are serving as a church during this time. Email [email protected] to get involved!
A Seat at the Table
Virtual Dinner

FPC is partnering with the Faith and Culture Center to host a virtual A Seat at the Table (ASATT) dinner on November 12. Eight FPC members will share conversation with eight members of the Salahadeen Islamic Center.

ASATT brings together diverse groups of Muslims and non-Muslims around shared tables for meals and conversations, so that we're able to get to know our neighbors. They are currently conducting these virtually in this season via Zoom, but the premise and function remain the same. You'll share your stories, experiences, and questions with one another, breaking barriers and forging friendships. All you have to do is show up.

If you are interested in participating, email [email protected].
Faith, Food, & Film Recap
Thank you to everyone who worshipped with us, ate with us, and enjoyed watching Monsters, Inc together! We had a wonderful time in fellowship as we celebrated the Reformation (complete with bagpipes!) and then enjoyed the outdoor space at the church. It was a beautiful night to kick off the fall!

If you didn't have a chance to pick up your FPC goodie bag, you can still grab one at the 8:30 outdoor worship service on upcoming Sundays.
Unite Williamson Community Event
On Saturday, October 17, 2020, Unite Williamson will host a virtual community event in place of their annual in-person prayer breakfast. While the current pandemic requires adherence to physical distancing guidelines, Unite Williamson believes that now more than ever, we need to experience connectivity with one another.
In addition to this year's virtual event, themed "Rooted in Live. United in Hope.", Unite Williamson will be publishing a video series on their Facebook Page. The videos will feature stories from residents of Williamson County sharing how they have connected, reconciled, forgiven, offered hope, helped heal, bridged gaps, or worked together with others. For more information, visit their website here.

We have all missed having dinner with our church family! Join us on Zoom for a quick hello or sit and enjoy your meal with us, followed by Conversations on Race at 6:30 PM.

Conversations on Race
Wednesday nights in October we will discuss current issues of race relations in our country and how we can respond as people of faith. These will be open, honest discussions where we are invited into “brave” space. Join us as we engage in thoughtful conversation about how we can uplift and listen to communities of color while recognizing our own prejudices. We will engage with various readings and have opportunities for both listening and participation. We believe we are called to bear witness to God’s love for all humanity by working for justice, love, and equality.
