Pictorial Directory

We have had 34 people join First Presbyterian Church since our last directory photography session in 2018. Part of the agreement when producing our last directory was that we could updated it. We are in the midst of coordinating photography dates this spring so we can include new members or those who were unable to have your photograph taken last time and update photos for those interested. New photos are not required. This is a free service as part of our last directory to update and republish for us. I know many of you have gotten married, welcomed new babies, or your children have grown and look very different. All are welcome to have a new photograph taken.

Prayer Shawl Ministry: New Group Announcement

Do you knit or crochet or have you wanted to learn? We are creating an additional daytime Prayer Shawl Ministry group since many prefer not to drive at night or the daytime simply works better. This group will meet on the 1 st and 3 rd Mondays each month from 1:00-2:30 PM in the Church Parlor. This new daytime group will begin meeting on February 17, and all are welcome to attend. 
 
The Prayer Shawl Ministry quietly ministers after the death of a family member or during a prolonged illness. Whether you are a longtime knitter/crocheter or are ready to learn, join us on February 17. There is no commitment so come try it out, see what you think, and enjoy some fellowship and dessert. Growth Group Facilitator Training

Thank you to all our Growth Group Facilitators this spring: Cindy and Rick Blackburn; Katie England; Sandra Fields; Sarah and Ryan Fox; Karen Hanson; Jane Herron; Therese Howell; Trisha Johns; Kim and Chris Joiner; Anne Keener; and Jo and Gary Singer.

We had a wonderful evening learning together as we prepare for our new Growth Groups that begin next week. Please join us in praying for all who are participating in Growth Groups. May God work through each Growth Group experience. 
Keep in Touch Ministry- College Care Packages
God loves our college students and so do we! Our Keep in Touch Ministry sends care packages to our college students including our much-loved choir scholarship students. We hope the note and goodies remind them they are very much part of our faith community and loved even when they are away at school. Please join us in praying for our college students. Thank you to Margaret Whiteside, Shawn Raines, and Emily Oldham for your leadership with this important ministry.
