Growth Groups

What are Growth Groups?
Small groups that meet weekly in members’ homes or at church.
When and how often do they meet?
Each group will meet for 1 ½ hours weekly beginning the week of February 17 through the week of March 30.
What book are we reading?
We will be studying the Apostle’s Creed and using the iBelieve: 40 Daily Readings for the Purposeful Presbyterian series. You do not need to purchase the book as we have permission to make copies of it and will be providing them free of charge to all participants.
Why join a Growth Group?
To create deeper connections with others and with God through conversations, book discussions, and prayer.
What are the group options and how do I sign up?
Look for an email later this week with all the details and a link to register. You can also signup on the Connection Card this Sunday.

Whether you have participated in the past or would be a first-time participant, prayerfully consider joining a Growth Group. If you have any questions, contact Anne Keene r
Visitation Ministry
...and they will call us by our names.
Visitation Ministry badges will enable us to make instant connections with the church members we visit, who are unable to attend services on a regular basis. If you would like to learn more about the Visitation Ministry, contact Karen Hanson .
Are you able to drive someone from Concord Road area to worship once a month? If so, you could help us with a current need of forming a team of drivers from the Brentwood area. To learn more about this opportunity or our RideShare Ministry in general, email rideshare@fpcfranklin.org or call Jane Herron (615-579-7466) or Steve Lewis (615-414-0047). This is a wonderful way to respond to God’s grace.
With a new year come new focus and maybe that focus is on yourself. We are called to love others as we love ourselves which means the better we love ourselves the better we can love others. Maybe you way you can better love yourself this new year is by having a Christian friend walk alongside you during a difficult time. To learn more about having a Christian friend to journey alongside you during a difficult time, reach out confidentially by calling our FPC Franklin Stephen Ministry voicemail at 615-746-7888 or emailing stephenministry@fpcfranklin.org
Our Stephen Ministers are ready to walk with you.
With the new year comes new ways to serve God. Is God calling you to be part of our Meal Ministry? Providing a meal is much more than providing food as it also reflects God’s love through the meal. To learn more about serving in this ministry contact Sue Mahurin by phone or text at 615-516-7013 or by email at srmahurin@aol.com . As the saying goes, many hands make light work.
College Students
Our Keep in Touch Ministry sends care packages to our college students each year. We will be sending them in February and want to make sure we have current addresses for all college students. If you are a college student or have a college student, please email Glenda Andrews with the current contact information so each can receive a care package and remember they are an important part of our faith community even when they are away at school.
Worship Flowers
Thank you to all who donated worship flowers throughout 2019. They are a beautiful reminder of God’s creation that add to worship each week. Each Monday, they are rearranged into vases and delivered to our home-bound members, those who have experienced a death in the family, or those recovering from an illness. If you are interested in donating flowers for the sanctuary in honor of or in memory of someone on Sunday mornings in 2020, email Sara Chang . Cost for flowers is $85.
