Oxfam Hunger Banquet at FPC April 3

Since 1974, Oxfam has been working with volunteers to create awareness of hunger. Oxfam Hunger Banquets give you the opportunity to make a difference, both locally and globally. They are volunteer-led interactive events that bring statistics about poverty to life. Guests randomly select tickets matching real people who are high-, middle-, or low-income earners, demonstrating that where you end up is all in the luck of the draw. Guests receive their meal based off their ticket for the night. These events help increase our power to respond to global crises, highlight issues of injustice, and change the laws that keep people trapped in poverty.
Senior Recognition
Sunday- April 7
We are looking forward to celebrating our high school seniors. What is your connection to this group of seniors? Did you teach them in Sunday School, serve as a Covenant Partner, participate in youth events together, or know their family? We invite you , the whole congregation, to join us for the Senior Recognition Luncheon following the 11:00 a.m. service on April 7th. The cost is $10 per person ($30 max for the family). Please email Susan Oldham ( oldhamfamily@bellsouth.net or 615-299-7164) to reserve your place at the table.
Senior Bibles

A special part of Senior Recognition Sunday is presenting each senior with a Bible signed by our community of faith. Bibles will soon be in Wilson Hall on Sundays and Wednesdays. Please take time to sign them for each senior. It will be a wonderful gift for them for years to come to look back on all the messages.
Coffee and Conversation
Join in the parlor on Wednesday mornings 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. for informal fellowship and a cup of coffee. Stay for Bible study at 10:30 a.m. or move on through your day. All are welcome.
