Congregational Care
Who is our Neighbor? “There are many ways to say, I love you . There are many ways to say , I care about you.”   -    Fred Rogers, Many Ways to Say I Love You
We began the Visitation Ministry a year ago. Its purpose is to expand the love and care offered to those in our congregation who are unable to worship with us, or those who would appreciate a visit. As the months have flown by, we have been reminded of the richness of sharing life’s stories and experiences. The visits have developed and renewed friendships that are growing.  It is inspiring to listen to those we visit monthly. We enjoy learning of the diverse backgrounds, skills, and faith blessings of each person. Those being visited have contributed so much, and through this ministry they continue to enrich the lives of those who visit them.
No matter the stage of life, all people have gifts to share.  If you would enjoy visiting or know someone who would enjoy a visit, please let us know. For those who would like to visit, we will find a time to meet and share helpful information about the specifics of the Visitation Ministry. Contact Karen Hanson ( [email protected]  or 407-341-3944) or Sandra Fields ( [email protected] or 615-406-4886) for more information.
Whoever welcomes you welcomes me….” Matthew 10:40

Sometimes it is the smallest act of kindness that can turn a rough day into a good day. Our Stephen Ministers form authentic, caring relationships with others who would like a Christian friend to walk with them during a difficult time. They can help turn a rough day into a good day. If you or someone you know could benefit from a Christian friend with whom to journey, contact our Stephen Ministry through the confidential voicemail 615-746-7888 or email [email protected] . Stephen Ministers are ready to journey with you.

Do you enjoy cooking? Our Meal Ministry, which is one of the many ways we care for one another, is looking for members to help provide meals for other members when needs arise. It is a wonderful way to respond to God’s grace. We also welcome those who would be willing to deliver meals others bring to church. To join this ministry, contact Sue Mahurin ( [email protected] or 615-516-7013).
Ride Share Ministry

If you need a ride to worship or other church activity or would like to provide a ride for someone, email us at [email protected] or call Jane Herron (615-579-7466) or Steve Lewis (615-414-0047).

Fellowship
Join us for our Thanksgiving meal at Wednesday Night Live this week. After we break bread together, we will have a Grace and Gratitude multigenerational program. Do you have a poem, song, or prayer of thanksgiving you would like to share? If you do, contact Kim Joiner [email protected] . Whether you normally attend WNL or not, all are welcome.

Flower Vases Needed
Our worship flowers continue to reflect God’s love and beauty past Sunday morning. They are placed in individual arrangements each Monday and delivered to members who are unable to worship with us or who are experiencing grief or sickness. We are in need of more vases to continue this important ministry. Vases may be left on the counter in the kitchen. Thank you in advance, and if you would like to help deliver flowers once a month or as a substitute, please contact Anne Keener at [email protected] . Thank you.
In Life and in Death, we Belong to God
In life and in death, we belong to God. Rev. Dr. Timothy Croft who served as pastor of FPC Franklin from 1972-76 died Saturday, November 10. His Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be on December 1 in Charlotte, NC. Please join us in lifting prayers of comfort for his family and prayers of thanksgiving for his life.
