Future Family: Living Faith Sunday School
The Living Faith Class has been utilizing video podcasts from Andy Stanley. He is the Senior Pastor of North Point Community Church in the Atlanta area. His 28 minute messages cover many aspects of living life as a Christian in these current times. He reaches out to both believers and non-believers in dealing from staying grounded to living in community with one another to dealing with children as well as many other pertinent messages for today. Our class utilizes discussion after each message and how it relates in our lives. Cindy and Rick Blackburn, Margaret Whiteside, Connie Bond and Steve Lewis rotate and share the facilitation role. Currently we are doing a series called Future Family which addresses the tension between what Jesus often taught as a higher ideal in living versus the reality of how we live in pursuit of that ideal.
We meet in Room 213 . Come join us.
Presbyterians have Questions: Adult Forum Sunday School
“Questions and answers are part of life. We face them every day. They are features of all areas of our existence. We ask; an answer is given. We are asked, and we reply. We believe in the Christian faith and so we are inevitably impelled, by our faith, to seek further understanding—to find answers to our questions.” Donald K. McKim, Presbyterian Questions, Presbyterian Answers

The Adult Forum Sunday School class is using McKim’s revised edition of PQ,PA to help formulate answers to theological questions surrounding our Presbyterian beliefs. Questions like: What is the incarnation? What do we mean by original sin? What is the grace of God? Why do Presbyterians have two sacraments? What is ordination? Topics are participant directed and class discussion and participation are encouraged. This is the class that is willing to push the envelope and think in creative, loving, and mindful ways. Bill Carver is leading the discussion on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. in Room 208 . All are invited to bring your questions and join the discussions.
