All Saints Day - Submit Names

November 1st will be our observance of All Saints Day. It is a day to remember those who have come before us - particularly those who died in the last year. These faithful who have joined the Cloud of Witnesses are those who blazed trails that we now follow. They parented us, they taught us, they empowered us to take flight and go our own way on the strengths of their gifts they helped bring out in our lives. So we remember them. We name them. We light a candle for them as a representation of the way they still light the path forward for us. Join us in commemorating the Saints of FPC Boise who have died in the last year. We invite you to send names to Andrew by October 28 so that we remember all those we as a community have lost in the past year. andrew@fpcboise.org.

Tonight is the final night of our current bible study. Next Wednesday there is no Adult Bible Study. And then we will begin an 11-week study of the Gospel of Luke. Bible Study is in the conference room at 6:30 pm or online:

A Flock of Paper Doves

For All Saints Day, this year on Sunday November 1, to remember a loved one who has passed or a saint in your life, we will be making origami doves that will later be strung together as a flock of doves. Starting October 25th, you will have opportunities to make origami doves to honor the saints in your life, and there will be packets of paper with instructions to take with you if you would like to make them at home. There will be a box in the Narthex for you to place your finished doves. The display will be up starting on November 8th!

Want to bring smiles to Boise High students? Join us on November 5th during their morning and afternoon breaks to serve cider, cocoa, and coffee. If you would like to sign up to help, please email Christine at christine@fpcboise.org.
