"The State of the Church"

Terra Clean Foundation

The Mission Committee is introducing a new international mission to which we have agreed sharing some of our financial resources to continue their tremendously successful efforts of providing clean drinking water to remote villages in northern Laos. Drinking contaminated water causes illnesses

and even death so this program is bringing significant and measurable change to secluded villages.

Subsidized household ceramic filters, made in Laos, provide clean water solutions, with little or no maintenance. The filters are made from clay and rice husks which are fired to burn off the husks and leave minute openings, removing 99% of the bacteria, parasites and other contaminants during gravity filtration.

Since 2020, over 13,000 families have received these filters, decreasing illness, increasing school attendance, and helping communities achieve a better life balance. 100% of all donations go to produce these $45 filtration systems which are easily managed in homes and schools.Check the bulletin board in the outer Narthex or the website at www.TerraClearFoundation.org for more information.

Prayers for Peace This Sunday

Join the Prayer for our Nation and World group from 10:05–10:30 AM in the library.

We are sharing 12 Prayers for Peace from different world religions. These historic prayers originated at the landmark 1986 interfaith gathering in Assisi, Italy, where leaders from 12 major religions united on sacred ground to pray for peace on Earth.

The nursery is open BUT UNSTAFFED this summer from 10:30am through close of Traditional Worship. Please utilize the "Prayground" in Lindsay Hall, where volunteers and caregivers will be stationed nearby to assist!

Traditional Worship Service - 10:45 am

In-person and online. View on YouTube. A copy of the weekly worship bulletin can be found on our website or in the description section of the YouTube video. The live stream will also be stored on our YouTube page for later viewing.

Mondays

Walk-n-Talk - 10:00 am, Julia Davis Park, meet just upriver (east) of the band shelter. Everyone is invited to Monday’s Walk N Talk. Questions - Andrew at andrew@fpcboise.org; 208-345-3441.

FPC Food Pantry - 4:30-6:30 pm North door, off alley through construction. Each Monday evening our food pantry continues to feed the food insecure. Volunteers are always needed. Please contact the office, 208-345-3441, if you can help.

Tuesdays

Scout Meetings - 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Wednesdays

Youth Group - Will be held offsite over the summer. Please refer to the emailed schedule of events.

Tot Walk - Every 3rd Wednesday at 11:30. Meet at the co-op for a walk to Memorial Park. Kids, snacks, & dogs welcome!

Quilting From The Heart - 10:00 - 3:00pm, 6th floor. Volunteers meet to create quilts for those in need. Questions? Contact Pat Kluckhohn, pjkluckhohn@gmail.com.

1st Thursday Friendship Meal - 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Lindsay Hall. Coordinated volunteers plan, prepare, deliver, and clean up a meal on the 1st Thursday of every month for Boise's food insecure. Link to volunteer
