A Note from the Pastor

This Sunday we will welcome the Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Callender into the pulpit. Elizabeth is the Director of Ministry Development on the Grace Presbytery Staff and she will continue our sermon series: Easter People, focusing this week on the apostle Paul.

Pastor Rosy is in Israel with her clergy cohort. Pastor David and four others are attending the Mo-Ranch Men's Conference in Hunt, TX.

Mark your calendars - we will install new ruling elders on May 8th!

Come and join us as we celebrate Eastertide!

Pastor David
Remember: by attending worship or other events in-person at FPCR, you are agreeing to a covenant of care which includes self-screening for COVID symptoms before choosing to attend in-person activities. Masks are optional but recommended. We have members that are continuing to wear masks, due to health concerns or out of care for others. Please respect the decisions and personal space of others as you attend FPCR.
A letter from Lisa!
Thank you so much to everyone for the incredible outpouring of love, support, encouragement, and well wishes! My Missouri adventure has begun! Johnny and I were married beside Table Rock Lake last Thursday. It was just the two of us with a dear friend and his wife that officiated the wedding. And we did manage to get in a little fishing over the weekend, and yes, I did outfish him! Lol!

I will dearly miss being at FPCR. I have absolutely loved being a part of the staff and ministry there. You all made me feel so very welcome and I found my home there. I assumed I would be there until I retired…but God had other plans! FPCR is a very special place with incredible people who love and care for one another. I pray you will all be a daily encouragement for one another. It has been my honor and privilege to serve and be a part of the FPCR family.

With much love,
Lisa Sargent Carter

PS I love my new name!!! Lol!!

Large Print Hymnals
We have recently acquired several new hymnals that contain enlarged print. These are text-only versions of our regular Glory to God Hymnals (purple pew editions). You may find these in the Narthex on Sunday mornings. Make a joyful noise!
Following their rehearsal on Wednesday, April 20, the Ruth Greer Handbell Choir (RGHC) had a Pizza Party and “Diaper Shower” to celebrate babies expected in May, June, and July for ringers Laura Nichols (and Paddy), Judy Bozone (and Evan Bertrand), and Katie Black (and Caleb). Besides diapers, the expectant parents (plus siblings Bennett Nichols and Grace Black) were surprised with an assortment of MUSICAL toys, to lay proper groundwork for more future ringers!
NOTE: If you’d like to help out RGHC while our ringers are on maternity leave, contact Becky Lormor (214-704-2593)!
