Hello First Presbyterian Church,
Stewardship Spotlight - Planned Giving
On November 1st, we will be celebrating All Saints' Day as we remember the lives and the witness of those who have gone before us in the faith. The saints of our church have not only left a legacy through what they have taught us and how their examples of discipleship have shaped our lives, but also through their legacy of generosity, which has laid a strong foundation upon which we continue to build up this community. At FPC Richardson, we are blessed with special gifts and memorial funds that enable us to meet the needs of our various ministries beyond the regular annual budget.
As you are considering your annual pledge, please consider a planned gift. The most common planned gift is a bequest through your will or trust, but many different options are available depending on your estate and heirs. So it is helpful to speak with your professional advisors, contact the church office, or reach out to our planned giving colleagues at the Presbyterian Foundation to discuss your goals and giving options. Just like a pledge, a planned gift can be big or small; all are helpful and useful in contributing to the mission and ministry of FPC Richardson long into the future.
Don't forget that this Sunday is our Dedication of Pledges. If you haven't already submitted your pledge, extra cards will be available on Sunday in worship. All pledges received by the end of the day on Sunday will be entered into a drawing for gift cards for local treats!
"Everyone should give whatever they have decided in their heart. They shouldn’t give with hesitation or because of pressure. God loves a cheerful giver." - 2 Corinthians 9:7
Grace and peace,
Pastor Sarah
