Hello First Presbyterian Church,

I'm glad to be back home with my FPCR family. Thank you for allowing me the space and grace to travel to England last week for my grandmother's funeral. It was a meaningful trip with moments of reconnecting with family members after a long time apart, remembering the life of my grandmother, and spending time in a land that's been home for my family for many years.

Today is International Women's Day. I'm remembering and giving thanks for the women in my life (like my grandmother Betty), as well all those faithful women who have shaped the Church over the centuries. Who are the women who have shaped/are shaping your life? 

Here's a prayer from the Church of England for today: God our Creator, you have built up your Church through the love and devotion of women everywhere. Inspire us to follow their great example that we may, with them, share in the vision of your glory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.
