This Saturday, we hope you will swing by the Church (between 10:00 and noon) and pick up your Lent Kit. It has lots of goodies for navigating the season of Lent (the 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter).
On Sunday, immediately after worship, we will have a Second-Sunday Lunch & Learn over Zoom. I invite you to join in the conversation as we have an informal discussion about how we might use the 2020 surplus, new ministries that we might want to explore, and the use of designated funds. At Home
There will be Lent @ Home kits available for each
family, beginning Monday, February 8. You don't want to miss out on this kit full of goodies to use throughout the Lenten season! These kits are free to FPCR members, one per family/individual.
Plan to drive-thru the portico-chere on Saturday, February 13, between 10:00 and noon to pick up your
kit. We will also be making porch deliveries that afternoon if you are unable to pick one up. Please email Lisa ([email protected]) if you would like to request a porch delivery for that afternoon.

RECORDING FOR GOOD FRIDAY
TENEBRAE SERVICE
We are looking for 15 different voices to read pieces of the Good Friday Tenebrae Service. This will be used for our digital service on Friday, April 2. We will record readers in the sanctuary in 15-minute increments on Saturday, March 6. COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed closely. All ages are invited to sign up for a time to record a reading. The readings can be found by clicking here. (Note: some readings are longer than others).  SUPPORT FAIR TRADE
Valentines through Father's Day is the biggest chocolate buying season of the year. It is well known in the chocolate industry that forced child labor, and starvation wages are part of the supply chain, and yet year after year nothing changes. Therefore, this year let us join the effort to make changes in the system by buying chocolate from Fair Trade farmers, and companies that pay fair wages and do not rely on child labor.

On Thursday, February 11, our Evening Women's Circle will begin a new study, guided by Pastor Rosy, with selected chapters from Brian McClaren's book "We Make the Road by Walking." The book is available to order via Amazon Smile or Thriftbooks.
Evening Circle gathers via Zoom at 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of the month. Sharing and fellowship are first, followed by the study lesson at 6:30 to 7:30-ish, then closing with prayers. ALL FPC friends are cordially invited to join, from anywhere!
