Stem Cell Research Shows Potential but Current Treatments Could be Dangerous
Stem Cell Research
Desperate for help, patients turn to stem cell therapy for treatment and cures. Unfortunately most of the therapy claims are unproven and there are huge risks associated with treatments at unregulated clinics. "People with neurologic conditions are particularly vulnerable to unscrupulous claims because so many neurologic disorders are progressive and existing treatments can't alter the course of the disease." These two articles share the story of one patient who suffered terrible consequences and provides updates on current and legitimate research.
