USCCB Program Updates/Reminders

  • Notice of Concerns (NOC) - Please note that NOCs should now be submitted to ORR within 72 hours/3 business days. This additional time allows programs to follow up with the necessary reports to police, CPS, OTIP, hospitals, NCMEC, etc. and therefore reduce the need for NOC addendums. However, please continue to notify your CSS of the NOC as soon as possible (within 24 hours/1 business day) after learning of the incident. Begin using this updated NOC form to reflect the extended time frame.
  • Virtual Home Study Reports - ALL home study reports conducted by virtual visits should be reviewed by your CSS prior to submission to ORR. After receiving a new HS referral, your CSS will inform you of the date on which to submit the report for CSS review prior to the ORR due date.
  • Family Separation - Please continue to track/report family separation cases using this guidance.
  • Migration Protection Protocols - Please continue to track/report Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) (also known as “Remain in Mexico”). Additional information on the MPP can be found here. Please review and complete the information indicated here for all cases in which a child reports being impacted in any capacity by MPP.
  • Please remember to change your UAC Portal password when prompted via email. Failure to do so within the time indicated will result in suspension of your Portal account.
Trainings

* Training Tracker - This is the most recent tracker and should be used by all program staff moving forward. It includes instructions and an example for your convenience. Please continue to record all trainings on your FY19 tracker at this time. We will discuss this further during the upcoming Network Call.
Resources
Kudos
Kudos to Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio and their Su Casa Hispanic Center ! The program was able to ensure that some Family Reunification clients received deliveries of cleaning supplies, toiletries and diapers that the Health Promotions Program from Su Casa Hispanic Center carried out on 3/30, 4/6 and 4/27. Additional services provided to families during this pandemic were financial assistance, a computer donation, and a rental assistance program. To read more about their efforts, click here .
